You can get used to lag if your ping is ALWAYS 120, but you cannot get used to your controller having a mind of its own and expect to make any progress. You cannot, you simply cannot, play Rocket League to any competitive degree with a consistently inconsistent controller. Move your stick around and see how badly it fucks up, it'll go slowly like its moving through mud, then it'll speed up insanely fast and zig zag around, next it'll work perfectly fine. ![]() If you really want to see how bad your stick is (trust me it is bad, I KNOW) - click the start button, type "gamepad" and select USB/Gamepad controllers -> go to "calibrate/test" where you'll see a crosshair and can move the stick around to test inputs. The reason this is happening is due to graphite that rubs off in the internal mechanics of the joystick which register "phantom" inputs or doesn't register "returning to neutral" so the game thinks you are still moving, etc. The best controller for RL in my opinion is a PS4 controller or a newer model PS5 (ps5 has some stick drift issues.) ![]() The version 1 elites are better, but they still suck. This controller is a piece of shit with a 3 month warranty. I'm an engineer and work with these types of technology. I own 1x elite and 2x elite v2 controllers.
